What You'll Do:
- Oversee daily operations of the Dietary Department, including supervising staff, developing schedules, and ensuring efficient meal service delivery.
- Manage food and supply inventory by forecasting needs, ordering products, and maintaining adequate stock levels to support resident dining services.
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of nutritious meals, snacks, and special menu items in accordance with recipes, dietary requirements, and food safety standards.
- Ensure food quality by monitoring cooking processes, portioning and presenting meals, and verifying proper preparation, temperature control, and taste standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment by enforcing sanitation practices, overseeing cleaning procedures, and ensuring compliance with applicable health regulations.
What You'll Need:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Serve Safe or CFPM designation certificate preferred, but can also obtain upon hire
- One year minimum prior leadership experience in a commercial kitchen setting
- Prior leadership experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate, read and write fluently in English
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment
